ever wonder why it didn't happen to you... I am here tonight because i dont want to just a friend and rattle on ...but it hits me so sudden i just have to get it out of my system..do you ever wonder why you just didn't pick the right one? When you see couples celebrating their 40th and 50th...how did they pick the right one..? and just focus on children and family and made it appear everything is alright..i hate that i didn't pick the right one...and now i cant find the one who will love my ..support each other..and just look in each other eyes and know your heart will break if they are unhappy....i only wanted to be married once...raise our and grow old together ..but i should have chosen wiser..its been ten years since the divorce and no i will never get back together with her..dont want to..but i just wish sometimes i had the chance to do it over again....

but you do have a chance to do it over again, only this time with your "one" that is, the one you are supposed to be with, meant to be with, fate has brought you too. it's never too late for your happily ever after :)

Such is life Things happen for a reason. It is God's will. Certainly you are better of in other ways now than you were ten years ago. Only God knows what the next ten years will bring. Have faith brother!

Wonder Why? Part 1 This is what happens when people rush into picking ANYONE who suits their emotions and needs at a certain time in their lives. Instead of trusting, loving and fixing themselves and believing they truly deserve more ... they settle period or for the familiar.Another reason is we tend to pick our parents, good or bad. They stay together your whole life and fight like cats and dogs, you pick someone like them as a mate. Wind up in the same relationship. They divorce when you are young and fight like cats and dogs and you pick someone like them as a mate. Again, wind up in the same relationship. It's really important for individuals (not including mentally ill ones) to really work on themselves and their issues before getting married, let alone bring a child into this world. Men are out there picking their passive, abusive or crazy mothers who want babies because they never had love and are desperate for it.Women are out there picking their passive, abusive or crazy fathers because they were either abused or their father was driven out of the home by their crazy mothers.When will individuals ever break the cycle of striving desperately to be a wife/husband to just anyone and a mom/dad to the product of that? Is being a wife, husband, baby momma or baby daddy all you feel you have to offer in this world? Is the bum rush for the wedding dress, tuxedo, crazy $$$$$ expensive wedding and $10,000 ring more important to you than the aftermath of your decisions? Can't people just grow the f*ck up and be responsible adults for once? Immature children are breeding children and frankly it's sickening already.This is not to say that anyone in this forum is to blame for their decisions. I think there are a lot of nice people here who feel the same way you do cperry. They made one stupid decision and feel as though they will pay for it the rest of their lives.

Wonder Why? Part 2 Again in the end, only the children will suffer and repeat the cycle... on and on and on... YOU set the example... It all starts with YOU. Find your self-worth, self-love and self-respect first before marrying and procreating and stop buying into the race to reach the fairy tale at any cost. If people would actually take the time to make themselves whole, the concept of marriage might have a chance. You're being sold a society expectation by your government and church and when it's over, the courts spend their days sh*tting on it. Wake up and realize already ... marriage does not guarantee love, respect and a name for your children. It's a piece of paper.

That was a really good post. Right smack down to the core of our inner-most self and what magnitizes a woman to man or man to woman. Its not what is right or wrong or why I picked him/her, its what we grew up with to know who we want(good or bad) or don't want(for those who had it bad). Thanks for sharing this.

damn i hear ya... i see couples who seem so in sync.... happy with their lives...partners in every sense.. what the f happened to me? and why did i pick my partner? we have nothing in common... i would say we really hate each other. im miserable...so miserable. our are grown and out...weve been married 27 years. im scared to leave...but im scared to stay...

waste of energy to wonder why. Would it not be a better use of YOUR energy to wonder what your part in its failure was, learn from it and move on? I suspect you already know the why. Sorry---divorced 10 years and still you have not found any semblance of peace? This may support the fact you may be focusing your thoughts on the wrong questions in life. These thoughts lead nowhere but to self pain.

this made me really sad in time you should be able to find someone that has what you're looking f or (including the ability to take care of your with you which would be great. you never know, there are soooo many people out there, some of which who may find your situation ideal. i know that is what i am looking for, a single father (yeah there are some specifics i'd need to do research on ) but over all, that sounds like the most ideal situation to me, someone like you has the proper maturity level and knows what it is to be responsible so.... those are x really good starts for character traits.
