My custody orders got finalized while I was living in Texas with my 2 year old, I had just moved there for my job. when I filed for custody in Texas, my ex moved in his girlfriend of 6 months. (My lawyer put no overnight guest on visitations) Well, I moved back to Sacramento now, and my son is 4 going on 5 next month, we have been back since September and his dad had custody of him the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend of every month and every thursday between 6-8 pm. His girlfriend lives with him. My ex has two other from a previous marriage too, ages 13 and 8 every weekend. My ex refuses to introduce me to his girfriend, I only know her first name and that her dad killed himself when she was 6. I do not even know her last name. He refuses to tell me. He said, "She WILL raise our son till he is 18 and YOU WILL NEVER meet her and that is that." Last week, he dropped my son off, and my son said, "mama, why was daddy's friend hiding in the doggy back of the car?" I ed his dad, and he admitted his girlfriend was hiding in his car when he dropped our son off...I was furious that he is doing whatever he wants and it just looks nuts to our son. This girl bathes my son, drives my son places w/out his dad in the car all day long on the weekends, she punishes him, etc....What can I do? I need major advice?

Are they still doing it? I would with hold the child until she moves out or he files a contempt hearing. Then I would piggy back my own response with a contempt on him. That way he pays for the initial filing.

He may not want the added drama that introducing her to you would bring. Frankly, I have no intention of introducing my ex wife to any new girlsfriends simply due to how she reacts. You also need to realize that your son is also your ex-husbands son. You come off sounding extremely controlling and kid-owning. Careful with that tendency. Try to look at things from the other side.

Well, it is in the court order that there will be no over night guests. You understand how important that is. And I feel it's important to know who is driving your child around and raising him. It's a crazy world these days. She should get a police report. Like a baby sitter, you have to check them out really good.

I think he hates the drama There are some things in this world we can not control. We also must learn which battles to fight and which ones just cause drama with no improvement. I know it is hard being mom and worrying about another woman with your child. Unless you see some signs of a problem, I think you should take a few deep breaths and just be the best mom you can be.
