I'm x years old part x .. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in his mind. I still lay in bed staring at the ceiling wondering how someone could just stop being a father, friend and husband so abruptly. I hardly talk to him. Most of the time he is nonexistent to my sister and I. I sometimes get a phone from him nearly once a month. Some holidays my mother has had to actually him and tell him to my sister and I to say "Happy Thanksgiving" or "Happy Birthday" .... If you asked me my opinion of what the definition of a good father would be, I honestly couldn't tell you because I don't have one. I hope that one day he will realize what he has done to his family and take responsibility for his actions. Maybe someday he will start to be a real father again. Maybe he will switch that light back on and try to replace the bulb that once was his family. The hardest thing I have ever done, besides live through all of this, was to re-live it so I could write it all down. You may not be able to imagine or even think of this in your wildest dreams but every word of it is true. The past two years of our lives were the hardest we ever had to endure. If you ask me If I could change it would I? I would say absolutely not.

So sorry that you had to go through all of that It sounds like maybe your lives are all turning the corner - heading for Good Times again. Good Luck to you and your family!

Who edited this story for you, are you going to publish it? Do you need some advice? I would add more about siblings. It is a well written story though. It must have taken you months to write. Top seller? no, but not bad. The ending needs a better punch.
