21 and Depressed :( Why do men change after you get married? They start off so sweet and loving then they turn into selfish,mean,lying,cheating,illresponsible,insensitive bastards. I just don't understand why you would marry a woman,say you love her and then start treating her like she's no longer the most important thing in your life. Thats why 89% of married women are on abilify,lexapro,paxil or zanax. Depression is a bitch, trust me I know I've been dealing with it for 4yrs. It ate away at me happiness,my will to live,and my self esstem. Now I feel like I'm worthless and a waist of space. I'm Sceard I've been with my husband for 7 years now and we have two daughters. I cry myself to sleep every night because I'm so unhappy, but I'm scared to leave him. He's all I know. And I don't want my children to grow up in a broken home like I did. I put their happiness over my own. And it hurts so bad that sometimes I feel like killing myself, but I pray for strength so I can be here for my girls. He didn't use to be this way and every time I try to leave him he tried to kill me or take my and I can't live without them. I try to be positive and pray that he changes but (and I'm so ashamed to even admit this)He has me questioning whether or not God still loves me. I feel like if he did I wouldn't be so depressed and in so much pain.My nanna always said God will never put more on you than you can bare, but I feel like he has. I have to fake smiling with every customer so they won't feel like my bad mood will ruin their day and they won't come back.My husband has cheated on me 9 times in 5 years( one of the times being while I was pregnant with our first daughter and it was with his brothers wife best friend.)He beats on me if I don't tell him where I'm going and I have to him every move I make.He use to be so sweet and romantic,but now I feel like he doesn't love me anymore. He would rather be with his friends than with me and it hurts :(

Life's Tough Girl, do i know what you are going through, although i might not be married, i have been struggling with my own relationship. Everything u are currently going through i am going through myself. I might be a little bit older than you but all i can say is keep your up. It seems like you have your individual life headed in the right direction, more than what i can amount too. But you really have to sit down and really asked yourself is this what you want? have you given it your best to work it out? if you leave will you be okay? These are tough questions that only you can answer yourself. Guys will be guys but my advice is that if you are not happy with your current situation than do something about! take the initiative and change for you. Dont ever try to change your partner. Don't hope, act There is all types of help out there, if your mother will not help then go to shelter. The least of your problems is your children growing up in a broken home. Your children are growing up in a violent home, were it is ok to violate your wife. A battered women's shelter can provide you with the safty that you need. You can x from anywhere in the US and get help.
