Question I have done in court for three weeks now ex is trying to change everything in child visitation. I get the Kids every other weekend and every Wednesday. Every other holiday and school holidays . She is trying to not let me have them on Thanks giving, plus it is my week end with the . Called lawyer to serve her with papers for con temp of court this morning.I thought it was all over and I can start over she is not letting it go. Got everything done in court the legal way but now she is going around it.

I don't understand Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet. How can she be in contempt already? Just her telling you that you won't get the isn't contempt. If it's your Thanksgiving to have them, then you still go to pick them up. Once she refuses to turn them over, then she's in contempt.

Their was a school holiday Thursday and Friday this week and she will not let me have them.

My Advice I would still show up, ready to pick your up at specified time with the court paperwork. You might be able to get police/Sheriff involved since she's in violation of orders, but i wouldn't hold your breath on it. Document it and when you have a pattern of this behavior, you might have something to hold contempt charges against her. Went through similar nonsense with the mother of my kid until she got tired of it, although never had to file. Despite the frustration, hang in there, try not to lose composure and be there for the what you can. Good luck.

I filed already this am had my lawyer talk to hers and hers to her.What a joke. Filed law suet against her with the same judge dearing family court he read it to both of us directly. My lawyer went straight to him gave him what is going on he will let us know after lunch.

He does it to provoke such responses instead of solicit help or make a valid point. When I said he was full of crap, I backed it up with relevant law. Like the time he said that almost x% of his pay was going for support and alimony. I pointed out that MN does not have alimony. It's ed spousal maintenance, something he would have known had he really been ordered to pay such outlandish amounts because it would have said so in his court order. I will allow for the possibility that, based on his inability to write incomplete sentences or spell more than four or five words correctly, that he may not have been able to read the judge's order. I also pointed out that his employer, whom he claimed was withholding so much of his pay, was barred by Federal law from withholding more than x% of his paycheck. As for "no ones" paying me any mind (you and farmboy must have had the same English teacher), I guess you missed some of the responses to my earlier posts in which I gave advice to people who posted real problems and they posted thanks. I've also been hired by some folks based on my responses on here. So tell us exactly what it is about my posts that you find disgusting.

You have done everything you can to screw your ex and your children financially. The way she is behaving now may not be legal but it is understandable. The tricks you have pulled will be haunting you and your family for quite some time. You have bad-mouthed your ex and sullied her good name. You have either hidden or wasted community assets. The looming tax burden comes to mind. Since neither you nor your ex can think clearly you are doomed to this continuing drama and suffering. I hope things will improve.
