How long is your longest friendship? I have a friend from xth grade and my BFF has been my BFF for over x years.

Friendship My longest friendship is x years and x that is x yrs. They are the solid in my life. As a matter a fact they are meeting for the xst time this week. They are so much alike.

Have one friend from childhood, we catch each other every decade or so, lol. Been friends over x years. I have friends from high-school on that are more in my life, so I will say almost x years?

Depends how you calculate it. I've had continuous friendship with one of my best friends from high school since about x, i.e., x years. But there's another great friend from high school who I was completely out of touch with from ***. We reunited when I spotted her name on the email list for our HS reunion, and now talk every day and see each other about once a week, whereas the other longtime friend lives in Texas and I only see her about twice a year. My longest-time guy friend dates to about x, but I talk more often with my ex who I met in x and broke up with in x, who subsequently married another longtime HS friend I fixed him up with.

facebook put me back in touch with all of them. Even my first best friend from when I was x. That's x years. But we weren't like best buds the whole time. Hardly.

gotcha beat i have x friends since seventh grade, one sat behind me in home room thru middle school and high school. another i met on church bowling league, beginning of seventh grade. we were all twelve and are now seniors - x to be exact! i'm still good friends with them even though we all live in different states. we talk, email and visit.

Sad to say, but my longest friendship was x years; and ended when I was xyo. Long story - suffice to say I make friends easily, but don't know how (nor really care) to keep them. My friendships have all died due to neglect. It's okay, I'm quite happy in my life. Suppose I *could* say that my very best friend is still in my life after x years. But I'm married to him, so does that count?

It was your post below that made me ask the question. I sometime feel really out of touch here on this board. I have been married most of my adult life to a man I truly love. I have had the same best friend from before I got married and had a child. Before she had children and got married (she did it backwards from me) yet we are still friends. So when I read "Realize that most friendships aren't for life, even "best" friends. Friendships develop through mutual interests, activities, lifestyle, etc. When there's one or more major lifestyle changes (a baby, distant move, marriage or divorce, etc.) those friendships often fizzle. It's NATURAL" I want to know if I am really odd.
